The Habit HT utilizes highly progressive geometry that mirrors the current trends of aggressive trail bikes. The defining measurement is a notably slack 64-degree head tube angle, which pushes the front wheel far forward to maintain stability and steering control on steep descents. This is paired with a long reach—measuring 440mm on a medium and stretching to 500mm on an extra-large—giving the rider plenty of room to move around the cockpit when standing on the pedals.
To keep the bike manageable on climbs, Cannondale utilizes a steep 76-degree seat tube angle across all sizes. This places the rider directly over the bottom bracket, creating an efficient, upright pedaling position that prevents the front wheel from wandering on steep uphill pitches. The Habit HT lineup consists of three aluminum builds, all sharing the same frame and 130mm travel intent, but stepping down in suspension and drivetrain complexity to hit lower price points. The flagship Habit HT 1 features a RockShox Recon Silver RL air fork, a Shimano CUES 11-speed drivetrain with a wide 11-50T cassette, and TRP four-piston brakes. It also rolls on aggressive Maxxis Minion DHF and DHR II tires, making it the most descent-ready option out of the box.
Moving down the ladder, the Habit HT 2 and 3 switch to SR Suntour XCM 34 forks and two-piston Shimano MT200 brakes, paired with faster-rolling WTB Breakout and Trail Boss tires. The mid-tier 2 utilizes a 10-speed Shimano CUES drivetrain, while the entry-level 3 relies on a 10-speed microSHIFT Advent X setup.
