The C68 utilizes a race-oriented geometry that has been subtly relaxed to favor stability and endurance over aggressive agility. While the stack and reach figures still dictate a relatively low and forward riding posture, Colnago employs slacker head tube angles across the size range. Combined with a longer fork trail than most contemporary race bikes, this geometry heavily influences the bike's handling, prioritizing straight-line tracking and predictable descending over twitchy, low-speed responsiveness.
Fit is largely dictated by the proprietary Colnago CC.01 integrated carbon bar and stem. This one-piece cockpit features a flattened aerodynamic top section and drops that flare outward slightly, providing a wider stance for descending without compromising a narrow hood position. Because the cockpit is fully integrated with internal cable routing, adjusting the reach or bar width requires swapping the entire unit. The frame also utilizes a proprietary D-shaped carbon seatpost with a standard setback, shared with other modern Colnago platforms, to complete the seated position.

Every complete build shares the same core chassis features, including the CC.01 integrated cockpit, a T47 threaded bottom bracket, and a CeramicSpeed SLT headset designed with solid lubrication to minimize maintenance on the internally routed front end. A small multi-tool is also hidden inside the steerer tube across the range.
The primary differences between builds lie in the drivetrain and wheelset pairings. The flagship Campagnolo Super Record WRL build is typically paired with Campagnolo Bora Ultra WTO 45 wheels, maintaining an all-Italian specification.
