The Colnago C68 Rim Brake is a deliberately niche version of the C68 platform, aimed at riders who still want the feel, simplicity, and aesthetics of rim brakes without giving up a current-generation carbon chassis. Introduced in 2024, it sits firmly at the premium end of the endurance-road market, but its appeal is less about outright mainstream relevance and more about offering a rare combination: a modern, fully internally routed Italian carbon frame built around traditional braking hardware. Rather than treating rim brakes as a retro novelty, Colnago adapted the C68 architecture with revised fork and seatstay designs so dual-pivot calipers work properly within the platform.
